There is more to discover in our work. As a salesperson, I meet wonderful people all over the world and obtain more than profit. Now I'd like to share the story between me and Lesley, one of the biggest surprises from my work. The first inquiry from Steven(Lesley’s husband) was on Nov.30th,2018. He needed a 2 stroke 40hp outboard motor for his 4-meter-long boat. We confirmed some details through several emails. One day after I sent him Christmas card and wish, Lesley replied and attached her beautiful window blind picture. Since then me and Lesley have been emailing.
Lesley has a very strong sense of humor and personality. She transferred 3 times and we hadn’t heard anything from the bank. It turned out that she tried RMB and AUD for the first 2 times while there was USD shown in our invoice. She was not worried at all, ‘where is my money now? I think the fairies have it. ’
We shared pictures of landscape, food, animals... Once she sent me a very beautiful picture and said ‘It just inspires you to take better pictures’. Actually, I do take good pictures. LOL...We also talk about our life and different cultures in China and Australia.
After they received the engine, Lesley took the best buyer show as she promised. ‘omg I so need a makeover, did I ever tell you I'm older than a dinosaur’ Lesley said in the email. You are not old at all. Lesley!
Lesley sent me a copy of their local newspaper about the National holiday issue. And I sent her a photo of me with the front page of the newspaper. Guess what, she sent my picture to the editor and yes, as you see, I’m in the Australian newspaper. Best experience in 2019. I so need a makeover this time!!!
I picked a gift for her without letting her know what it was. It’s ‘weird’ that the fan was just her dream gift as she said in the email, ‘Now, here is the 'weird' thing. When you sent the email saying you were thinking of what to send me, I thought to myself, "one of those fans would be nice". Only the fan 'picture' my brain sent was more of a Spanish looking thing, the ones that open. That's because its the only kind I knew about I suppose. Then you sent me a fan. Honestly, my jaw and mouth could not have dropped open more!!! Talk about coincidence!!! And it so pretty and has a bird on it, when you see the room it goes in, you might see how perfect a gift it was.’ We just thought alike!!! She then made a frame for it and put it up on the wall...
